Located in Junagadh, Gujarat, Samanvay Hospital is 120-bedded oncology super-speciality hospital developed under the leadership of Dr. Prashant Vanzar. Planned over approximately 4,800 sq.m., it is envisioned as the first dedicated private cancer-care hospital in Junagadh district, offering integrated oncology services for patients from Junagadh and nearby regions.

The name “Samanvay” (Coming Together) reflects the vision of unifying doctors, caregivers, and technology into a single coordinated system focused on patient-centric care. The hospital aims to make cancer treatment more accessible and less burdensome by reducing the need for patients to travel to larger cities.

AMRD’s planning approach focuses on creating a complete cancer-care ecosystem integrating radiation oncology, diagnostics, emergency, OPD services, surgical oncology, critical care, inpatient care, and cardiac intervention services. Special attention was given to clinical adjacencies, circulation, radiation safety, and efficient separation of public, inpatient, and service zones.

The hospital follows a vertical zoning strategy across two basements and five upper floors. Basement 2 houses the radiation oncology unit with a 6 MV linear accelerator bunker, consultation areas, and technical support spaces. Basement 1 is partly used for parking and staff/support services. The ground floor accommodates high-footfall functions including Emergency, radiology, five OPDs, pharmacy, reception, and waiting areas, ensuring easy access and clear patient flow. The first and second floors are dedicated to inpatient wards, while the third floor provides private patient rooms for enhanced comfort and privacy. The fourth floor includes a six-bed ICU, relatives’ dormitories, and hospital administration, addressing both critical care and family support needs. The fifth floor is the advanced clinical zone, comprising three operation theatres (two major, one minor) with pre- and post-operative care, CSSD, and doctors’ lounge, along with a cardiac OT, Cath Lab, and CICU, enabling integrated surgical and cardiac care.

By combining oncology, surgery, critical care, and cardiac services within a single 120-bed facility, Samanvay Hospital aims to provide a complete continuum of care under one roof, improving accessibility for patients in the region.

Once completed in 2023, it has become a key regional cancer-care centre for Junagadh and surrounding areas, serving approximately 300 OPD patients per day and providing 120 - 150 radiation treatments per month.
