Obstetrics & Gynaecology Speciality Hospital | Women & Child Care | Maternity, NICU & Critical Care

Located in Botad, Gujarat, Jay Siddhanath Hospital is a 30-bedded Obstetrics & Gynaecology speciality hospital, completed under the leadership of Dr.LaljiMakwana. Planned over approximately 2,000 sq.m., the hospital is designed as a focused women’s healthcare facility integrating maternity, obstetric surgery, critical care, neonatal care, diagnostics, outpatient services and inpatient accommodation within a compact vertically organised building.

The client’s vision is to create a dedicated healthcare environment where women can access complete care—from consultation and maternity services to delivery, surgery, critical care and postnatal treatment—within a single integrated facility. The project focuses on strong clinical connectivity between the labour room, obstetric OT, recovery, ICU, NICU and inpatient areas, while ensuring patient comfort, safety and privacy.

AMRD’s study and planning approach was based on understanding the specialised workflows of an Obstetrics & Gynaecology hospital, especially patient, staff and emergency movement. The design emphasises efficient departmental adjacencies, clear vertical zoning and seamless connectivity between maternity, surgical, critical care and neonatal services.

The hospital follows a clear vertical zoning strategy, with the ground floor and basement dedicated to parking, keeping all clinical functions above free from congestion and focused on patient care.

The first floor functions as the main maternity and outpatient zone, including reception, waiting areas, pharmacy, two OPDs, a two-bed labour room, obstetric OT, and pre- and post-operative recovery areas. This arrangement ensures smooth coordination between consultation, delivery and surgical care.

The second floor is planned for critical care and diagnostics, along with inpatient facilities. It includes a five-bed ICU, NICU, two OPDs, pathology lab and twin-sharing rooms, enabling immediate access to emergency and neonatal support.

The upper two floors are dedicated to inpatient accommodation with twin-sharing and deluxe rooms, providing a quieter healing environment separated from high-activity clinical zones.

Overall, the hospital is designed around the specific needs of women’s healthcare, ensuring close integration of key clinical departments for faster response and better patient outcomes. The separation of OPD, critical care and inpatient zones helps create a smooth and organised patient journey.

Once completed, the 37-bed Jay Siddhanath Hospital will serve as a dedicated women’s healthcare centre for Botad and nearby regions, offering comprehensive Obstetrics & Gynaecology services within a compact 2,000 sq.m. facility. The project reflects AMRD’s approach of combining efficient planning, vertical zoning, clinical integration and patient-centric design.
